Rooted in Greater Cleveland Growing through community

01 Why we’re here

Information opens doors. Encouragement helps people walk through them.

The Joy Project equips people with clear knowledge, practical support, and meaningful connections so the next step feels possible.

We bring preventive-health education, resource navigation, encouragement, and career exposure into welcoming community spaces—meeting people where they are and helping them move forward with confidence.

02 How joy grows

Five programs.
One connected purpose.

Each program responds to a different need while building toward the same outcome: people who feel informed, connected, and ready for what comes next.

The heart behind the work

Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Joy Morton, founder of The Joy Project.

I am a college student majoring in Biology with a concentration in Health Science. I plan to continue my education in nursing and medicine, with the goal of building a career dedicated to caring for others, improving access to helpful resources, and making a meaningful difference in healthcare.

My own life experiences have taught me the importance of encouragement, compassion, and community support. Those lessons inspired me to create The Joy Project, an organization that brings people together through service, education, and simple acts of kindness.

As The Joy Project grows, I envision expanding our work to include health education, community resources, career development, and programs that help young people explore their own potential.

I am a student, future healthcare professional, community advocate, and young woman with a vision for positive change. I may still be at the beginning of my journey, but I believe you do not have to wait until you reach your final destination to begin serving others.

The Joy Project represents who I am today and the compassionate leader and healthcare professional I am working to become.
